After posting the satirical Katrina Blame Game™, I saved a copy of the original Word document (yes, I created that thing in Word), deleted the text and created a blank board game template:
All you need are some playing pieces, a die (or a random number generator*), and you’re good to go.
* To simulate a standard 6-sided die, enter the following into the Randomizer form:
- set of numbers: 1
- numbers per set: 1
- from: 1
- to: 6
- Leave the other fields as is and click "Randomize Now!"
Virginia Johnson of the Central Rappahannock Regional Library has an excellent board game-making resource for kids. Board game enthusiast Britt Scharringhausen has a resource for serious gamers.
You can also create your own Windows-based board game via BoardBOSS software. For examples, browse the game catalog for BoardBOSS-created games you can play for free.
