In celebration of the 50th Anniversary of Peyton Place the movie, the Camden, Rockport Lincolnville Chamber of Commerce is a coordinating a number of events for the weekend of June 15-17, 2007. On the Friday evening there will be a reception at the Whitehall Inn which was featured prominently in the movie. There will be a screening of Peyton Place at the beautifully restored Camden Opera House on Saturday and a panel discussion will follow the viewing. There will be walking tours of the town highlighting the Peyton Place "Hotspots." Other events are in the works such as an antique car parade down Main Street on Saturday morning.
