When I was conducting research for my post on scented paper, I came across some interesting smell-related sites:

• Better Living with Essential Oils: information about and uses for essential oils for body and home care. #24 is instructions on infusing scents into paper, although I would suggest adding the drops of essential oils to a cotton pad rather than directly onto the paper.

• Aromatherapy sites: AromaWeb, A World of Aromatherapy, and a skeptical view of aromatherapy.
• EverythingSmells.com’s list of interesting facts about smell: Unfortunately, these are not cited or footnoted, so I don’t know whether these are factettes or merely factoids. I find "all the scents in the world are created by seven conglomerate companies and then sold to ‘brands’" — if true — to be vaguely disturbing.
• Sense of Smell Institute, including facts that are probably more verifiable than those listed at EverythingSmells.com.
• A scientific tutorial on olfaction, or the sense of smell.
• Chemical smells database.
• What’s That Smell? The Nose Knows: an educational site for kids.
• The relationship between smell and taste.
• "The Vivid World of Odors," published by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
